Carmelina

A comprehensive remodel of a 1985 Tudor residence in Brentwood Park, currently under construction as of 2025. Working with the site's natural grade across a one-acre lot, RDA preserved the integrity of the existing Tudor architecture while layering in an expansion that delivers the amenities expected of a home at this scale and prominence. The central design challenge was one inherent to the style itself — Tudor architecture's tendency to resist natural light — which drove a focused effort on custom fenestration and floor plan revisions carefully threaded through the complex structural framework that gives the style its distinctive massing, shapes, and rhythms.
