Orchid Tree
Developed in partnership with Lahmon Architects and Weintraub Real Estate Group, Orchid Tree Palm Springs is envisioned as the city’s first ultra-luxury hospitality resort and branded residential complex. Located in Palm Springs, California, one of North America’s premier leisure destinations, the project is supported by a leading global luxury hotel brand and set within the Historic Tennis Club District, one of the city’s most prestigious residential enclaves. Known for its architectural heritage, privacy, and proximity to the dramatic San Jacinto Mountains, the district provides a distinctive setting for a new hospitality destination. The site is the historic home of the Orchid Tree Inn, a 1930s hotel and bungalow complex, giving the property a significant architectural legacy and cultural provenance. In response to the area’s restrictive zoning requirements and strong community design input, the project balances historic mission-style architecture with the operational infrastructure required for contemporary luxury hospitality. The design combines a midcentury framework with Hispano-Moorish detailing, materiality, and architectural references, allowing the new complex to engage respectfully with the site’s historic resources while establishing a refined contemporary identity.
