Bicameral Pavilion

A public-private partnership between a coastal municipality and two adjacent property owners. The site had previously housed a three-story non-conforming parking structure built in the late 1970s, recently demolished following significant structural failures. Commissioned by Good Capital Group, RDA worked closely with city staff and local ownership to develop a massing that met the municipality's requirements while remaining appropriately scaled for its context. The result is a 30-foot bicameral open-air structure whose pedestrian walkways thread through the complex, subtly connecting the town's two most prominent retail nodes — all without disrupting the architectural character that makes this coastal community distinctly its own.
